I have a papillon and a chihuahua that will be going to the street dance with us on the 4th of July and I want them to have cute dresses.
They ARE NOT going to the fireworks with us. I don't want to scare them.
if you have rude comments about dogs wearin clothes… keep them to yourselves please. I really don't want to hear them.

There is a lady who custom makes dresses – I bet she can do whatever you want! (there is actually a dress about 1/2 way down her page that is a 4th of July dress)

Dogs normally don't wear clothes. They don't need coats, jackets, sweaters, shirts, or jeans. This would also go for hats, scarves, shoes and socks. Skip the dew rags. Dogs don't use umbrellas, goggles, or gloves. In addition, they don't ride bicycles, use cameras, or wear football helmets at the park. They wouldn't know what to do with an X-box. Disappointing and perhaps upsetting as this response is, many people need to understand that dogs are NOT people, too. If you'd like to really surprise your canine partner for the holidays, I suggest you consider a nice raw, meaty ham bone, a soft rubber ball, and a nice leash that really gets used!

Why do people still insist on humanizing their pets and turning them into accessories? If you want to dress something up, get a doll! Dogs have fur for a reason and they should NOT wear clothes. Look at your dog's body language if you put it in a dress. They will probably lick their lips and look away from you. Those are all signs of anxiety, anxiety caused by your insistence to dress them like babies. Grow up!
